AUTOMATIC SINGLE KNIFE SLITTING MACHINES

Purchasing a fully automatic single knife slitting machine is a large investment both in dollars and in production returns to your company.

MANUAL SINGLE KNIFE SLITTERS

Manual Single Knife Slitting machines are essentially a simple & cheaper option and there are now many manufacturers of these machines, particularly coming out of the Asian market, however many of these manufacturers have no understanding of the principles of Single Knife Slitting or the industry requirement (ie Application Tapes, Stamping Foil, P E Film) and therefore most of the machines on the market, though cheap, will not meet the requirements of most purchasers.

In order to address this Javelin has worked with a manufacturer in China to design and manufacture a machine that is price competitive but also addresses the requirements of each industry and also can meet regulatory requirements for safety. 

MACHINE SAFETY

All Javelin sourced machines will have :

• Mechanical and electrical guarding to OSHA, CE and AS4024 standards.
• Poly-carbonate safety cover to protect operator against flying shrapnel from shattered steel knife or chuck pins and hand entrapment in rotating material/mandrel/chuck.
• Electrical guard switch cuts off power when safety cover lifted.
